Apple App Store Spreads Malware That Only Hates Windows Users

That title up there is what comes out of the realization that "Instaquotes Quotes Cards for Instagram" has been gleefully spreading malware ever since 2009.

The good news is that any antimalware software should be able to detect the malicious software at this point. The weird news is that the malware was pushed into an App store that doesn't have almost anything to do with Windows at all.

That means that the "Worm.VB-900" worm that infected the aforementioned app can't do anything to iOS or MacOS, but it does damage (hopefully, just bandwidth penalties and nothing more serious) to the Windows systems that some people use to manage their apps.

Apple has pulled the App, while the vendor behind it is working on a virus-free version. Go to the Apple forums to get an idea of how many people god headaches because of this (fortunately, not too large) mess.

Take Care !!!
